Levothyroxine Sodium

Dogs with thyroid problems are drugged dose of 10-40 micrograms Levothyroxine. This medicine can cause effects such as nervousness, headache, palpitation, and insomnia when used in excess. Levothyroxine sodium may increase effect of blood thinners such as Coumadin on the body and lead to blood clotting.

For adults a normal dose of 12.5 mcg or 125 mcg per day is sufficient. Patients can take the help of doctor for using the medicine. People having cardiovascular problems, allergies to medicines, blood disorders must use the medicine under supervision of a doctor. The effects of the medicine seen after three weeks, replacement therapy of thyroid is a good idea and works out well, if people take proper precautions.

While medicating the drug diabetics can use anti-diabetic drugs to overcome side effects. Problems of blood clotting are common among people who use this medicine.
